Left Kalannie at Midnight - Sat 11th - Drove non-stop to Quorn (just North of Port Augusta) arriving there on Monday morning at 5:30 am.
After Chrispy drove back to Port Augusta to repair a slashed tyre courtesy of some road debris near Pochera, we departed for Maree with Mum onboard.
Got settled into our LUXURY accommodation in the Caravan Park, we got an early night to grab an early morning flight over Lake Eyre.
Then it rained all night!!
40mm in the desert (almost Marree's average rainfall in 1 day!) - means floods.
Our flight was delayed until later in the day - but was so worth it due the floods.
Also meant we had an extra day in Maree as all he roads were closed - and the chance of heading further North were dashed.
